How long your passport must be valid, country by country
Almost every airline check-in desk applies a passport-validity rule, and almost every traveler believes it is six months everywhere. It is not. Some countries measure six months from the day you arrive, others three months from the day you leave, and a large group only require the passport to outlast the visit. The distinction decides whether you board. This table gives each country's own rule and the wording it is drawn from.
