What staying past your permitted stay costs, country by country
Each row gives what an official source states about a visitor who stays past the permitted period: the fine where one is set, and any entry ban, deportation or prosecution. Most rows come from the destination's own law, gazette or immigration authority. Where only another government's travel advice states the rule, the row says which government. A country missing from this table has not yet been researched or has no official page we could read; it does not mean overstaying there carries no penalty.
