CARICOM Heads of Government welcomed Guyana's implementation of the decision that CARICOM nationals travelling to other Member States be granted a definite entry of six months. Guyana's Foreign Ministry lists the countries whose nationals do not require visas to enter Guyana, some only for diplomatic or official passports and some for 90 or 30 days; for passport holders who require a visa and may be unable to apply at a Guyanese mission, its advisory says visas will be issued on arrival. Guyana's Immigration (Passports) Order says that, except as otherwise provided in the order, the passport of a citizen of any foreign country is not accepted unless it bears a Guyanese consular visa; it exempts passports of the countries in its schedule, passports of Commonwealth countries whose law lets Guyanese enter on their passports without a visa, passports the Minister exempts and passports covered by a Visa Abolition Agreement in force.

The advisory says visas will be issued on arrival to persons from visa-required countries who may be unable to apply at a Guyanese mission or consulate, and Immigration Support Services takes the application online, with a mandatory letter requesting a visa on arrival.
The Foreign Ministry's advisory on visas issued on arrival sets US$140.00 for business persons for five years in the first instance, with an additional US$140.00 for each five-year renewal; no official source we could read publishes a separate fee for a business visa issued by a mission. The company name, representative, nature of business and business contacts in Guyana must be provided to the Ministry of Home Affairs before travelling.
