Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry e-visa page gives a consular fee of 60 US dollars for a single tourist visa (80 US dollars for business and medical treatment visas) and says paid consular fees are not refundable. It says an electronic visa is issued in accordance with a valid invitation from the Kazakh side, is valid only for the visa recipient and does not apply to accompanying persons, that foreigners can enter and exit on it only through the checkpoints of the international airports of Nur-Sultan and Almaty (the Embassy in Washington's January 2026 notice says only through border crossing points of the international airports of Kazakhstan), and that a printed electronic visa must be carried when crossing the border and during the stay. The same page says a tourist visa (category B12) is issued with a single entry for a period of up to 90 days and the right to stay in Kazakhstan no more than 30 days.
